About This Place

CAFE&RESTAURANT KOD PIRKETA offers an authentic Serbian culinary experience right in the heart of London’s W3 district. Located at 47 High St, this charming eatery is a true gem for anyone craving the rich, hearty flavors of traditional Serbian cuisine. From the moment you step inside, the warm and inviting atmosphere—with its classic red and white checked tablecloths—embraces you, transporting you to a cozy Balkan home where good food and great company are always at the center.

The menu here is a celebration of Serbia’s vibrant food culture, featuring standout dishes that delight the senses. The Mixed Grill serves perfectly grilled cuts of succulent meats, each bite bursting with smoky, juicy flavor matched beautifully with creamy kajmak and spicy ajvar. For lighter, refreshing starters, the Shopska Salad—a colorful blend of fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, and a generous sprinkle of creamy white cheese—awakens the palate. Turkish coffee and domestic plum brandy, Rakija Šljivovica, complete the experience for those wanting a truly immersive Serbian meal.

Delve deeper into the hearty side of the menu, and you’ll find gems like Rebarca Ispod Saća (slow-cooked pork ribs), the comforting Beef Goulash with Mash Potatoes, and rich, flavorful Veal Soup. For a touch of Serbian street food, the Home Made Pie Burek steals the show with its flaky, buttery crust and savory fillings. And for those with a sweet tooth, desserts like Domaca Krempita and the decadently layered Baklava Krempita offer a delicate balance of creaminess and crisp textures that linger lovingly on your taste buds.

Customers consistently praise the friendly, attentive service which adds to the genuine atmosphere. Ivan Damjanov sums it up perfectly, calling Kod Pirketa "an excellent place if you want real Serbian food in London," highlighting the generous portions and authentic flavors that remind him of home. Another visitor, Alexander M-W, mentions how the restaurant’s authenticity and consistent quality have made it a trusted spot to share with friends from all over the world.

Whether you’re after a robust meat platter, a savory pastry, or a warming bowl of teleća čorba (veal soup), this restaurant marries tradition and comfort in every dish. For those new to Serbian cuisine, Kod Pirketa is a welcoming introduction; for those who already love it, it’s a rare and precious taste of home away from home. Make sure to call ahead or arrive early, especially if dining with a larger group—this popular spot fills up quickly thanks to its reputation for serving some of the best Serbian food London has to offer.

In short, CAFE&RESTAURANT KOD PIRKETA isn’t just a meal. It’s a heartfelt journey into Serbian culture, flavor, and hospitality that leaves you feeling nourished both in body and spirit.

Excellent place if you want real Serbian food in London. The atmosphere feels warm and authentic, the staff are friendly, and the portions are generous just like back home. The meat is perfectly grilled, the kajmak and ajvar are top quality, and the flavours are exactly what you expect from proper Serbian cuisine. Everything tasted fresh, traditional, and made with care. Bravo!

Authentic serbian restaurant as I was the only non-serbian person at thag time when I visited this place. The waiter was polite and friendly. I didn’t have booking but the waiter gave me the seat just about after 5 minutes waiting. Very typical serbian restaurant style, with red and white squared pattern table cloth. Of course I ordered cevapi here, and I didn’t need to wait for long to get my food served. The taste was amazing and I would definitely go back here again.

I would never have found this place if it wasn’t by chance. And I can’t be more pleased that I made the decision to stay. Overall fabulous food, with lots of flavor, good proportions and a reasonable price. Stay satisfied and with good service, what more can you ask for.

An incredible Serbian restaurant in London that truly makes you feel like you're back in Serbia. The food is consistently prepared to an exceptional standard, with flavours that are both authentic and absolutely delicious. I’ve brought friends from all over the world here, and without fail, they always ask me when we’ll be coming back. If you're planning to visit with a larger group, be sure to book in advance!

I think other reviews have said, if you're a meat lover, you're in for a treat. Had the seabass fillet and mixed platter for one. Really good portion size and at a really reasonable price! My issue was that my fish was slightly over seasoned but rather that than it being bland. Service was okay. I did feel like I was getting a little rushed out despite the place still having a decent amount of empty tables at around 4pm when we had finished

We visited this cozy and atmospheric Serbian restaurant yesterday, and it was a lovely experience. It’s not a luxury place, but it has a warm and welcoming vibe, with interesting interior elements that add to the charm. The food was delicious, homemade-style, and full of authentic flavors. We truly enjoyed our meal and the overall ambiance!
